OTT Platform
An OTT platform is your own streaming service: a website and apps where your customers watch your shows, live channels and events, for free or with a subscription. Dejacast sets up the platform for you, and you manage its content, customers and products from the dashboard.
Find your platform in the dashboard
Each OTT platform has its own entry in the left menu, named after the platform. Its submenu has:
| Menu item | What it is for | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Pages | The pages of your platform, their content and the menus. | Pages and Menus |
| Live Events | One-time broadcasts such as matches or concerts. Found under the Publishers menu. | Live Events |
| Customers | The people registered on your platform and their subscriptions. | Customers |
| Marketing | Voucher campaigns and push notifications. | Voucher Campaigns, Notifications |
| Settings | Subscription products, translations and FAQ. | Products, Translations, FAQ |
Live Events appears under the Publishers menu only if the Events feature is enabled for your platform.
Who can manage a platform
- Administrators can manage all of your OTT platforms.
- Regular users can manage only the platforms an administrator gave them access to. See Manage Team.
- Only administrators see the Settings menu (Products, Translations and FAQ).
What appears on your platform
Your platform shows the shows, live channels and events you choose on its pages. A few settings elsewhere in the dashboard also affect it:
- Shows: their artwork, seasons, content format and order, and whether they're included in subscriptions. See Adding a Show.
- Custom metadata set to Public is displayed on the pages of shows and videos. See Default Custom Parameters.
- Geo-restrictions limit which countries can watch. See Geo-Restriction on Video Content.
