Adding a Show
Once you have added a new Publisher, it is necessary to add at least one Show for that Publisher.
Create a new show
- Go to Shows and click Add new show.
- Fill in the fields described below.
- Click Save changes.
| Field | Description |

| Publisher | The publisher the show belongs to. Select it first: the name and slug fields are enabled once a publisher is selected. |
| Name | Any name you like. |
| Slug | Generated automatically from the name. You can change it before saving, as long as it is unique among your shows. It is used in the URLs of the show's assets and in show embed codes, and cannot be changed after the show is created. |
| Description | A brief description of the show. |
| Show Tags | Tags that will be easy to add to each video of this show. Type a tag followed by a comma, for example music,. |
| Custom Metadata | Click Metadata settings to set show-level values for your publisher's custom metadata. Videos in the show inherit them. |
| Active | Disabling a show makes all its videos unavailable for playback. |
| Content Format | Series for episodic or multi-part content, such as TV shows or online series. Movie for standalone films. |
| Content order | The order in which seasons and videos are returned: Newest first (default) or Oldest first. |
| Seasons | Optional, for series. Click Add season to add seasons, then assign videos to a season from the video's page. A season that still has videos cannot be deleted. |
| Include in Subscription | For accounts with an OTT platform: select the subscription products that include this show. Products with full content access always include it. |
| Allow Video Embedding | Controls where the show's videos can be played. See Embedding permissions. |
| Country Group Restriction | The country group allowed to watch the show's videos. See Geo-Restriction on Video Content. |
| Start Publish Date | The date when the show becomes available. If left empty, the show is available immediately. |
| End Publish Date | The date when the show stops being available. If left empty, the show remains available indefinitely. |
After the show is created, use the Artwork tab to add its posters and title art. See Artwork.
Embedding permissions
The Allow Video Embedding setting has these options:
- Yes, allowed anywhere: videos from this show can be embedded on any website without a signed playback URL. Use this for videos in public articles on your websites.
- No, public embedding not allowed: videos from this show can only be played using a signed playback URL. See the VOD Playback URL guide and VOD Player integration.
You may also see No (OTT accounts only - deprecated). Don't use it for new shows.
Manage your shows
The Shows page lists all your shows with their publisher, number of videos (Show Library), status and geo-restriction. Use the Filter to see the shows of a single publisher.
From each row you can:
- Click the show name to edit it.
- Open the show's videos in the Media Library, or upload new videos directly to the show.
- See whether the show's artwork is set, and open the Artwork tab.
- Use the ⋮ menu to Edit show or Delete show. Only administrators can delete shows, and a show that contains processed videos cannot be deleted.

If a show belongs to an inactive publisher, its videos are not available for playback, even if the show itself is active.
