Publish to Social Media
You can publish any video from your Media Library to YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, without downloading and re-uploading it.
Before you start
- Social media publishing must be enabled for your account, separately for YouTube, Facebook and TikTok. Contact [email protected] to enable it.
- Your channels and pages must be connected to Dejacast. See Social Media Accounts. You can also connect them from the video page with the Authorize YouTube channels, Authorize Facebook pages and Authorize TikTok channels buttons.
Publish a video
- Open the video from the Media Library and select the Social Media tab.
- Check the Video title as it will be published and the Description of the video as it will be published. Edit them if you want the social post to differ from the video's details. The tab also shows the format, resolution and size of the file that will be uploaded.
- In the section of each platform, select the channels or pages to publish to, and set the options described below.
- Click Publish now.
The upload runs in the background. Its progress is shown in the Upload logs at the bottom of the tab.

Append a video at the end
Append at the end adds another video after the one you publish, for example an outro or a channel promo. The two are joined into one video before upload.
The list is empty by default. A video appears in it only after you add the AppendToSocialMedia metadata to that video and set it to Yes. The list shows the 5 most recent of these videos from the same publisher.
1. Create the metadata key (once per publisher)
Create a custom metadata key for the publisher (see Default Custom Parameters) with these settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | List of pre-defined options |
| Required | No |
| Key name | AppendToSocialMedia |
| Values | No (first option, so it's the default), then Yes |
2. Add the metadata to each video you want to append
Repeat these steps for every video that should be available in Append at the end, for example your outro or channel promo:
- Open the video from the Media Library.
- Click Metadata settings, then Add new metadata.
- Select the
AppendToSocialMediakey and set it toYes. - Click Save changes.
To remove a video from the list, set its AppendToSocialMedia value to No.
Check your uploads
The Upload logs table on the video's Social Media tab lists the uploads of that video, with the platform, channel or page, title, the social video ID (a link to the published video) and the status:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| SCHEDULED | Waiting to start. |
| STARTED | Uploading. |
| FINISHED | Published. |
| ERROR | The upload failed. |
To see the uploads of all your videos, click View all upload history, or go to Publishers → Live to Social and open the Video Uploads tab. There you can filter by publisher, search by title, see the details sent to each platform, and click Retry upload for a failed upload.
