Live to Social
The Live Stream to Social Media page allows you to broadcast your channel directly to connected social platforms such as Facebook, Twitch and YouTube. From here, you can set up your stream details and go live with a single click.
Go to Publishers → Live to Social to open it. The page has two tabs:
- Live Stream: restream a live channel to your social accounts, as described below.
- Video Uploads: the history of videos published from the Media Library to YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, with their status. You can filter by publisher, search by title, and click Retry upload for a failed upload.
Before you start
- The publisher must have an active live stream. If none of your publishers has one, the page shows "There are no Publishers with an active live stream". Contact [email protected] to set one up.
- Your social media accounts must be connected to Dejacast in Settings → Social Media Accounts. If no account is connected for the selected publisher, click Click here to authorize to add one.
Selecting a Publisher
At the top of the page, choose the Publisher you want to stream from. Selecting one filters the list below so you only see the accounts associated with that publisher.
On the right side of the page, a preview window shows the live signal from your channel, so you can confirm that your feed is active before you begin streaming.
Connected Social Accounts
Below the stream details, you'll see all accounts linked to the selected publisher. Each entry shows:
- The platform (Facebook, Twitch, YouTube) and the account type (page, user profile or group)
- The account name
- The current status
- A Go Live button
Going Live
To start a live broadcast:
- Enter a Title (required, up to 100 characters) and, optionally, a Description (up to 5,000 characters). They appear on the destination platforms and help viewers understand your broadcast.
- Scroll to the desired social account.
- Click Go Live.
- The status updates once the stream begins.
You can go live on multiple platforms by clicking Go Live on each one individually.
While a stream is running:
- Click Update Live to send a changed title or description to the platform.
- Click Stop to end the broadcast on that platform.
Facebook accounts and Pages must meet Meta's requirements to go live. Starting June 10th, 2024, Facebook accounts must be at least 60 days old and Pages must have at least 100 followers.
